According to Variety Johnny Depp is in talks to star with Angelina Jolie in “The Tourist,” Johnny Depp would play an American tourist drawn into a web of intrigue and danger by a female Interpol agent (Jolie) as she attempts to locate a criminal who was once her lover. Graham King’s GK Films is financing and distributing through his multi-picture output deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment which was due to start filming in February. Johnny was brought into the mix by King, with whom he has a close relationship, most recently collaborating on “The Rum Diary” and the Gore Verbinski-directed animated pic “Rango.”

The Tourist a remake of the french film "Anthony Zimmer" has recently went through some bumpy rides after “Avatar” star Sam Worthington exited along with director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, both over creative differences. But apparently directors are circling to take on this project, including Alfonso Cuaron. Here is the French Trailer for Anthony Zimmer.

As you know Johnny is due to start filming Pirates 4 in April/May next year and if he does sign if anything will this delay Pirates 4? Then there is The Rum Diary which is due for release next year and Dark Shadows also due to start filming 2010 so the questions on my mind is does he really have time to squeeze all this in?
