~All Time Low Confirms Song For Alice Soundtrack~

In November we told you that All Time Low was rumored to be recording a song for The Alice In Wonderland Soundtrack.
In an Interview with MTV the band confirmed that they have in fact recorded a song for the Soundtrack saying "Until it's 100 percent, I'm still going to say 'tentative,' but yes, we recorded a new song for the soundtrack," said frontman Alex Gaskarth. The untitled tune was written specifically for the movie, though it isn't necessarily a straightforward narrative about the Cheshire Cat. "The song definitely references ideas from the film and from the story, but I wouldn't say that it's obvious," said Gaskarth. "But it's in there, for sure."


~Rob Marshall Update On Pirates 4 With Johnny Depp~

Rob Marshall Director for 'Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides'recently told MTV there are still a number of decisions to be made. "'Pirates 4' is in process as we speak. So they're still writing," Marshall explained. "I've heard a couple of exciting ideas, but they're still in process. My hope is that we'll be able to shoot it sometime in 2010." says Marshall.

When asked about a possible 3D release marshall went on to say "I'm not from the technical world in that way, so it's not something I've ever aspired to do," he said. "My guess is it's going to be maybe more performance-driven. Which would be exciting too, because Johnny is a brilliant actor." He also commented that "I'm excited to come on board if it all comes together because it's, you know, new blood," Marshall explained, adding "I'll sort of approach it from another place. And still, to work with the brilliant Johnny Depp, that's the reason for me to do it."

~Sean Connery Presents Johnny With Lifetime Acheivement Award~

Johnny Depp was honoured with the prestigious Career Achievement Award at the 2009 Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF) in Nassau on Sunday night. Sean Connery was there to present Johnny with his award, he admitted he was "a little stupefied by the notion of winning awards," adding, The first thing I say is, ‘Why?’ I just go to work like anyone else, except my job happens to be a little stranger.” The film festival's director, Leslie Vanderpool, said Depp is an acting "icon". "What makes this tribute to Johnny even more special is that he has a home in the Bahamas and possesses a true love and appreciation for the region and culture," she said. Johnny also revealed that he would be spending Christmas on his private Bahamian island.


~Johnny Depp Arrives Japan For Public Enemies Premiere~

Johnny arrived in Japan to promote Public Enemies to some very adoring fans. Public Enemies which will be released into theaters on December 12th. Public Enemies has already been released in the UK and was released today in the US now available through Amazon.


~Dark Shadows Confirmed Fall 2010~

According to SciFi Wire Dark Shadows will start shooting in the fall of 2010. During a roundtable interview for The Young Victoria, Graham King was asked about Dark Shadows he said "We're actually going to shoot that film next September/October with Tim Burton and Johnny,"
"We've been working on the script a lot, even though he's working on Alice," King continued. "We've been given a script. John August wrote the first screenplay. We're making some changes, but the film's going to be in production, as I say, September or October of next year."


~Update On The Tourist With Johnny Depp~

Although we have not yet had any official confirmation that Johnny Depp will in fact be starring in the Tourist with Angelina Jolie. According to Graham King Johnny may very well be taking on the role of Frank Taylor. While doing press for The Young Victoria, the producer talked about all of his current and upcoming projects. He was asked how he splits his time with so many projects in development and was quoted as saying "I’m starting production on this little movie in February, with Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp (called The Tourist)." ~Grammmy Nomination For Johnny Depp~

Johnny Depp has been nominated for his first Grammy nomination along with Douglas Brinkley’s in the category of Best Album Notes for Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson--Music from the Film. The 52nd Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday January 31, 2010, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and will air live on the CBS Television Network from 8–11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

~Johnny Depp To Be Honored With Prestigious Achievement Award~

The Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF) announced today that three-time Academy Award® nominee Johnny Depp will be honored with the prestigious Career Achievement Award at this year’s Film Festival, taking place December 10-17 in Nassau. The announcement was made by BIFF Founder and Executive Director Leslie Vanderpool.
Johnny Depp will be on hand for the special tribute and presentation at the Balmoral Club in Nassau. Legendary leading man Sir Sean Connery will again be lending his full support at BIFF, serving as Festival Patron and presenting Depp with the Career Achievement Award.

“There is no actor better suited to receive BIFF’s highest honor, the Career Achievement Award,” said Leslie Vanderpool. “Johnny Depp is one of the finest actors of our generation and is, simply put, an icon. We’re all tremendously excited to bestow him with this honor and celebrate his incomparable career.
